The Province has submitted a rezoning application to the City of Surrey to move forward on creating new homes for approximately 38 people experiencing homelessness in the region. Peterson Place, a program and facility operated by Fraserside Community Services Society for people who were homeless and may have mental health, drug and alcohol issues, has been identified as a potential location to build the additional supportive housing.

Fraserside will continue to operate the existing supportive housing at 13245 King George Boulevard, and will operate the new housing as well. If it is approved, construction is estimated to start in spring 2019, with the goal of occupancy for new residents for winter 2019/20.
