Fraserside launches Monthly Giving Club

What made you decide to create a monthly giving club?
To be honest, it was interest from current supporters that sparked this idea of a formal monthly giving program.
In chatting with our donors, it became clear that many folks prefer to donate to their charities of choice through monthly giving programs. The convenience of scheduled monthly gifts better suits the busy lifestyles of today’s donors. For the organization, it means having a reliable source of funds that we can count on when making future plans to better help those we serve.
The Monthly Giving Club is also a way of commemorating Fraserside’s 48th anniversary of providing programs and services in New Westminster and neighbouring communities. Although we’ve grown and evolved in the last 48 years, one thing that has remained constant is our desire for creating community and belonging. We see the monthly giving club as another way of connecting with the friends of Fraserside.
What are the funds used for?
The funds we receive through the Monthly Giving Club goes towards enriching the lives of the people we serve in our programs and services. For example, $12 a month can cultivate a sense of pride and meaning in the lives of adults living with mental health issues by providing the soil and seeds needed to grow a vegetable garden.
A monthly donation of $24 could help folks facing social isolation the opportunity to foster positive relationships by coming together to celebrate holidays and milestones.
Donating $48 a month could provide two adults living with developmental disabilities who work with the Mobile Work Crew the tools and equipment needed for year-round work. The Crew performs a variety of outdoor work such as landscaping, rubbish removal, power washing, recycling, grounds keeping, and maintenance.
What benefits do you receive as a monthly donor?
Like you, we want your donation to benefit the folks served by our programs by creating communities of belonging where the diversity of all people is welcome. Members of Friends of Fraserside Monthly Giving Club will receive special communications to keep members up to date on news and updates, invitations to agency events AND the coveted “I Give to Belong” pin.
