How Service Access Works

Fraserside does not operate general drop-in services. Most programs are accessed through coordinated referral pathways managed by government, health, and social service systems.

Our role is to deliver services once referrals are made through the appropriate systems.

  • Referrals for housing and mental health-related services are typically coordinated through provincial housing programs and regional health authorities

These systems determine eligibility and referral pathways based on individual circumstances and availability.

  • Some counselling services may accept self-referrals, depending on the program and location. For guidance on appropriate services and access options, provincial health navigation services are recommended:

You can also call 8-1-1 within British Columbia for confidential health service guidance.

  • Referrals for community living and employment supports are coordinated through Community Living BC (CLBC).

CLBC determines eligibility and coordinates referrals to service providers based on individual needs and available supports.

If you are unsure which pathway applies to your situation, please contact us and we will help direct your inquiry appropriately.

For urgent or crisis needs, please contact local emergency or crisis services.
