Perspectives Adult Substance Use Services offers free one-on-one and group counselling services to people who are affected, either directly or indirectly, by substance use (e.g., alcohol and other drugs).

Our professionally trained counselors help you explore how your substance use creates an impact on the various areas of your life. Counsellors help you consider options to deal with your concerns about substance use. Our counselors encourage and support you as you learn and create the lifestyle of your choice.

We also offer support to individuals concerned about the substance use of a family member or friend.

Perspectives counselors provide:

  • assessment
  • individualized treatment plans
  • individual, group and family counselling
  • education
  • community seminars
  • referrals to other programs and services

Referral Process

You can self-refer by contacting our receptionist at 604-522-3722 (ext. 101) or come by the office to make an intake appointment. Intake appointments are held every Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Our office is located on the 2nd floor, 519 Seventh Street in New Westminster.

Staff Qualifications

Our counselors have a graduate or undergraduate degree with experience as substance misuse clinicians.
