Fraserside is accountable to and operates within a broad governance structure, encompassing legal and professional regulations.

As a non-profit society, Fraserside is governed by and subject to the BC Society Act. These regulations set forth the manner in which we must operate as a legal non-profit organization.

Our Licensed Community Care facilities and Registered Assisted Living facilities are managed in accordance with BC’s Community Care and Assisted Living Act. The Act ensures residential programs throughout BC provide the best care possible to vulnerable populations.

Fraserside is a registered charitable organization. Donations made to support our programs and services may be eligible for a tax receipt, subject to Canada Revenue Agency rules (Registered Charity # 107403669RR0001).

Fraserside is a CARF accredited agency. CARF provides accreditation services worldwide at  the request of health and human service providers focused on advancing the quality of services for the best possible outcomes. Providers that meet CARF standards have demonstrated their commitment to being among the best available.

CARF standards are constantly changing to improve the quality of care for the people we serve. Fraserside has been accredited since 2002 and each time we have been surveyed, we have received accreditation for three year terms - the maximum period an organization can receive.
